Ecoglo’s Photo Luminescent Way Finding



Way-finding won’t be an issue for people leaving their seats in large systems with a new photoluminous technology called Ecoglo®. Not only do these strips have high visibility in blackout conditions but they also encourage an easy way for people to use stadium facilities during events.

With illuminated seat numbers, handrails, stairs and aisles, it eliminates the issues associated with way-finding once someone leaves their seat. Instead of possibly tripping or getting lost on their way to or from washrooms, concession stands, etc, people can easily leave and find their way back to their seats. Ecoglo also encourages people to visit these areas since the travel will be easy.

These way-finding systems are inexpensive and incredibly easy to install, unlike traditional electronically powered systems. When electrically powered way-finding is installed, concrete has to be drilled along with special aisle lighting and stair protection to ensure safety. One light is required for each row of step between each row of seats and ongoing maintenance costs to repair wear and tear.

With Ecoglo, it’s an environmentally friendly, photoluminescent strip that absorbs any kind of light. After about 20 minutes of charging, it then re-emits a light that will glow brightly for hours in light or dark. The strips can be re-charged repeatedly as needed. Way-finding becomes effortless, especially in emergency situations with glowing light to guide through the dark.
